More semifinalists announced for Idol

ANDERSON — Hoosier Park’s Idol All-In competition is heating up, with three more vocalists named to vie in the semifinal competition. Shelby Jones sang “Who Will Save Your Soul?” by Jewel. Casey James performed an original song called “Watching the Lines.” Lisa Ray sang Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.”

Those three got the nod from judges and will go up against six other semifinalists on May 16. The last three semifinalists will be chosen this Thursday. The finale is set for Saturday, May 25. The winner snags $2,500, a studio recording session and a gig at Hoosier Park.

Epilepsy group meets Monday

ANDERSON — The Epilepsy Support Group will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Park Place Community Center, 802 E. Fifth St. (use the Pantry entrance).

Meetings are held the first Monday of the month. There is no charge.

WOW Red Hatters  to meet in Fishers

FISHERS — The May meeting of the WOW Red Hatters of Madison County will be Saturday, May 11, at Rita’s Back Yard, 12244 E. 116th St., Fishers.

Lunch will be at 11 a.m. followed by shopping in the gift shop and nursery area. Reservations are required. Contact Jean Leedy at 642-9514 by Tuesday, May 7, to reserve your spot, if you need transportation or have questions.

Frankton High hosts blood drive

FRANKTON —  Frankton High School will sponsor a blood drive in memory of Whitney Mason, Lacy Curtis and Jessica King on Friday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the school’s auxiliary gym.
