Hancock County Historical Society to host book fair

GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Historical Society will host a group of local authors, book sellers and other organizations this Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Society’s first Local Author’s Book Fair and Signing event.

The Hancock County Historical Society is located at the Historic Chapel in the Park Museum, 28 N. Apple St., Greenfield. There will be some refreshments and you can tour the Chapel in the Park Museum for $1 entry fee, but there is no fee to attend the event itself. Light refreshments will also be served.

At this event you can get New Palestine native, Julie Young’s “The Famous Faces of Indy’s WTTV-4: Sammy Terry, Cowboy Bob, Janie and More,” and “A Belief in Providence: A Life of Saint Theodora Guerin.” Mount Vernon graduate Bill McCleery will be on hand to sign his mystery novel (set in Hancock County) – “Henry’s Lady – A Jim Ragan Mystery”. ­­Hancock County Historian Joe Skvarenina will be selling and signing his new “Hancock County Post Card History” book as well as having a selection of other editions. Henry County will be represented with Darrel Radford and Doug Magers’ book, “New Castle – Images of America.”
