---- — 'Show and Tell' at Roundtable meeting

ANDERSON — The Madison County Historical Society will host its Civil War Roundtable at 7 p.m. Monday at the Madison County History Center, 15 W. 11th St.

A "Show and Tell" meeting is on the schedule. The round table is a group interested in the Civil War and any item you may have to share. Bring any items of interest to the meeting.

VFW to host spaghetti dinner

ANDERSON — A spaghetti dinner will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266, 3210 Columbus Ave. The dinner is being hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary.

Cost is $7 and includes spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread.

Carryout meals will be available.

Stone jewelry workshop at Mounds State Park

ANDERSON — Mounds State Park will offer a nature-inspired stone jewelry workshop at the nature center on Saturday, Jan. 25.

The workshop starts at 1 p.m. Participants will craft two stone pendants under the instruction of interpretive naturalist Jessica Rosier.

The class will demonstrate basic wire-wrapping techniques. Hand-selected stones will be available, though participants also are welcome to bring stones from home.

Space is limited and advance registration is required by Jan. 23 by calling 649-8128.

The workshop costs $10, which includes all supplies and refreshments.

Mounds State Park is at 4306 Mounds Road.

Winter camping with Indiana Tearjerkers

ANDERSON — The weekend of Jan. 25-26 several members of the Indiana Tearjerkers will once again be winter camping at Mounds State Park.

These tiny trailers will be home for these campers. The festivities will once again have a pot luck pitch-in dinner and a cozy campfire to visit around.

New Life to hold winter skating party

ANDERSON — New Life Apostolic Church will host its winter skating party on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Anderson Roll Arena, 2711 Broadway.

Admission, $5 and skate rental, $2.75.

Grandview Church to host annual dinner

PENDLETON — Grandview Brethren Church will host its annual community chicken noodles dinner on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

A complete meal, including dessert and drink, will be $7 for adults and $5 for ages 5 - 12. Children under age 5, eat free. Eat in or carry out.

Proceeds from this annual fundraiser, organized by the Ladies Fellowship, will be used for outreach and church projects.

Grandview Brethren Church is located on Indiana 13 just south of Interstate 69, exit 214 at the entrance to Summerlake addition.

'Black Tie Affair' banquet Feb. 8

ANDERSON — New Life Apostolic Church will celebrate its annual Valentines Banquet "A Black Tie Affair" on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 6 p.m. at The Edge, 519 Golf Club Road in Edgewood.

Ticket prices are $50 for couples with a free picture for the couple and $30 for singles.

Dress is semiformal. Tickets must be purchased by Jan. 25.

The event is for those 18 and older.
