---- — Historical Society has 'Black History' exhibit

ANDERSON — The Madison County Historical Society Inc., through the efforts of Historical Society Trustee Bonnie Collier, announces the opening of its "Black History" exhibit that features "A Celebration of the Life of Martin Luther King Jr." as well as the lives of a number of local people. The exhibit will also include South Africa's first elected chief executive, Nelson Mandela.

The exhibit will be open to the public beginning Monday right after the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration at the Paramount Theatre and continue through Feb. 21 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There is no charge to visit this or any other event in the facility.

VMC to host rummage and resale each Tuesday

ANDERSON — The Veterans of Madison County, 3607 E. 10th St., will host Anderson Rummage & Resale every Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m.

The VMC receives donations for its Children's Fund from the sales.
