Evans to perform at Honeywell Center

WABASH — Country artist Sara Evans will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the Honeywell Center in Wabash.

An Academy of Country Music Top Female Vocalist, Evans is best known for her hits that include “Born to Fly,” “Suds in the Bucket,” “No Place That Far,” and “A Little Bit Stronger.”

Evans is preparing for the release of the entertainer’s seventh studio album, “Slow Me Down,” set to hit the stores March 11.

Tickets are $34, $48 and $75, and may be purchased at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling (260) 563-1102 or visiting www.honeywellcenter.org.

Tearjerkers’ monthly meeting canceled

ANDERSON — The Indiana Tearjerkers January gathering has been canceled. Weather conditions have created safety issues this year and the group said they will not meet on Saturday as originally planned.

Supper to benefit Dollars for Scholars

FRANKTON — Frankton Dollars for Scholars Inc. is having a chili supper Saturday before the Frankton-Lapel boys basketball game.

Serving will be from 4 to 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

Proceeds will benefit the Dollars for Scholars program for graduating FHS seniors.

Roosevelt School students to gather

ANDERSON — Former students of Roosevelt School meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. at Perkins Restaurant on the last Wednesday of each month.

The next breakfast is scheduled for Jan. 29.

Soroptimist club to meet Tuesday

ANDERSON — Soroptimist International of Anderson will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Community Hospital Education Center.

All are welcome at the meeting to learn more about the women’s service organization and its projects.
