Pet parade planned during Frankton Heritage Days

FRANKTON — Frankton Heritage Days will host its eighth annual Pet Parade on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m. at the Frankton Heritage Days Field.

Contests will include best tricks; best dog costume; and best dog/owner costume.

Contest starts promptly at 5 p.m., registration at 4 p.m. at FHD office (next to gate entrance). To enter, those participating are asked to bring a bag of cat/dog food, treats or pet supplies.

The event is being sponsored in part by the Madison County Humane Society SPCA. Entry forms are to be in no later than Wednesday, Sept. 18. For an entry form, call 621-2026 or www.franktonheritagedays.org or pick up a copy at the Madison County Humane Society at 2219 Crystal St., Anderson.

All pets need to be leashed and up-to-date on immunizations.
