AHS Class of ‘66 meets Wednesday

ANDERSON — The Anderson High School Class of 1966 will meet for dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Frisch’s Big Boy, 500 Broadway.

Basket/bingo event on Wednesday

ALEXANDRIA — The Christian Congregation Church Alexandria Chapter Delta Theta Tau will host Longaberger Basket and Vera Bradley Bingo at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Alexandria-Monroe High School cafeteria.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $12.

Fall Sale booth applications open

MARKLEVILLE — If you have some trash that could be someone’s treasure, you can get a booth at the Markleville Park Fall Sale.

The sale will be held Oct. 4-5. A 12-foot-by-12-foot space is $10. To reserve a spot, call Betty Weist at 623-3553.

Red Hat Chicks going to Greensburg

PENDLETON — The Pendleton Red Hat Chicks will meet 11:30 a.m. Sept. 18 at Pendleton United Methodist Church parking lot.

They will travel to Greensburg to tour the High Point Orchard, gift shop, and have lunch at the cafe.

Members are asked to call Barbara Mercer at 778-3868 to confirm reservations by Sunday.

Library to host Brown Bag Lunch

ANDERSON — The Anderson Public Library, 111 E. 12th St., will host its next Brown Bag Lunch featuring a “Tailgating” theme at noon Thursday.

The program is free. Attendees are invited to bring a lunch and discuss pre-game excitement and tailgate party ideas with David Gillaspy in the Cardinal Room on the third floor of the library. Registration is not required.

Wilkinson High School reunion

SHIRLEY — The Wilkinson High School Reunion will be held Sunday. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and dinner will be at 1 p.m. at the Shirley Masonic Lodge.

The classes of 1953 and 1963 will be recognized.

Bring table service and food. Tea and coffee will be furnished. Dues will be $2 per person to pay for expenses. Plan to stay after dinner for a short meeting and visitation with old friends.
