Presentation on ghosts of Madison County
PENDLETON — It’s October, the perfect month for all things ghostly. The Pendleton Community Public Library invites the public to attend the “Ghosts of Madison County” presentation at 10 a.m. Saturday. Authors, professional storytellers and paranormal researchers Nicole and Michael Kobrowski will present the Madison County haunts, complete with photographs and eyewitness accounts, gleaned from their research.
The Kobrowskis’ Historic Indiana Ghost Walks and Tours have been featured on local news programs as well as in national publications such as Better Homes and Gardens and Midwest Living. St. Ambrose fall rummage starts Thursday
ANDERSON — St. Ambrose, 2800 Morton St., will host its fall rummage sale Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
Black Nurses scholarship tea Oct. 19
ANDERSON — The annual Black Nurses Scholarship tea is set for 2 p.m. Oct. 19 at Anderson Zion Church. The $20 donation funds scholarships.
Keynote speaker will be Damita Williams, chief nursing officer at Children's Hospital of Michigan.
AHS Class of '48 to meet on Friday
ANDERSON — The Anderson High School Class of 1948 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Rigo's at Grandview Golf Course, 1905 Northshore Blvd.
The class's "Last Gasp" 65-year reunion is planned at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 17 at Rigo's.
