MIDDLETOWN — The Middletown American Legion Post 216, 450 N. 10th St., will have mountain oyster dinners beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Frankton tenderloin dinner Saturday

FRANKTON — Frankton First United Methodist Church, Eighth and Sigler streets, will host a tenderloin dinner from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Community Room of The Factory.

Cost is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors 65 and over, and $4 for children under 13.

The menu includes tenderloin, baked potato, green beans and desserts including diabetic. Carryout meals will be available.

Breakfast to be served at Legion

ANDERSON — The George Hockett American Legion Post 127, 4118 Columbus Ave., invites the public to an all-can-eat breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The menu is biscuit and sausage gravy, scramble eggs, hash browns,sausage patties, pancakes and drinks, the price is $6.

Business, arts/crafts vendors sought

ANDERSON — Local businesses plus arts and crafts vendors will be joining together in a vendor fair on Nov. 1 and 2. This will be in the former Sears store at the Mounds Mall from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.

The proceeds from this event will benefit Secret Families of Madison County, a Christmas charity benefiting local people.

‘Christmas in Pendleton’ scheduled

PENDLETON — This year’s “Christmas in Pendleton” will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Pendleton.

This past year’s attendance boasted more than 3,000 visitors.

VFW to serve steak dinner Friday

ANDERSON — The VFW Post 266, 3210 Columbus Ave., will serve a steak dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Steak, baked potato, green beans, salad and roll will be served for $10.

Black nurses scholarship tea

ANDERSON — The annual Black Nurses Scholarship tea is planned at 2 p.m. Saturday at Anderson Zion Baptist Church, 2008 Louise St. Cost is $20 and proceeds go toward scholarships.

Keynote speaker is Mrs. Damita Williams, chief nursing officer at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. She also serves as the director of clinical operations for Hope International Ministries, Inc., medical mission to the Dominican Republic. Williams is a graduate of Ball State University and hold master’s degrees from the University of Saint Francis and Indiana Wesleyan University. She is currently a doctoral candidate from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Band boosters plan Dan’s Fish Fry

PENDLETON -- The Pendleton Heights Band Boosters will host its annual Dan’s Fish Fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Pendleton Heights High School cafeteria. Tickets are $9 for adults and $7 for children 6 to 12 years of age.

Children 5 and under eat for free. Menu includes all-you-can-eat fish and chicken tenders, baked beans, cole slaw, applesauce, dessert and drinks.

40&8 to host fish dinner

ANDERSON — Madison County 40&8 Voiture 510, 1600 Rangeline Road, will host an all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.

The menu includes Alaskan Pollock, coleslaw, baked beans, green beans, and rolls. Cost is $8 with carryout available.
