Luck Watch

The Herald Bulletin

ANDERSON, Ind. — Rain moved Thursday’s afternoon session onto the field turf in Macholtz Stadium, and Andrew Luck got off to a slow start in the wet conditions.

The second-year quarterback connected on just one of his first three pass attempts, but he recovered nicely with completions on eight of his next 11 tries.

He finished the day 13-for-21 overall without a touchdown strike. The best chance for a big play came when wide receiver T.Y. Hilton broke free down the near sideline, but Luck overthrew the pass out-of-bounds.

Darius Butler continued a strong camp with his third interception of Luck this summer, and he had an earlier pick against backup Matt Hasselbeck.
