Pair of local girls to play in all-star games

PORTLAND, Ind. — Pendleton Heights’ Kiawna Cottrell and Shenandoah’s Rachel Krathwohl will take part Saturday in the POSTYOURT.ORG Indiana vs. Ohio High School All Star Basketball games at East Jay Middle School.

Krathwohl averaged 15.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore this season for the Raiders. She’ll play for the Indiana Girls (White 2) at 9:30 a.m.

Cottrell averaged 10.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.8 steals as a junior for the Arabians. She’ll play for the Indiana Girls (White 3) at 11 a.m.

There are seven games on the schedule — three girls and four boys — ranging from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A one-day pass to all seven games is $8 for adults and $5 for children.
