ANGOLA — The Anderson University men's basketball team lost to Trine University 71-48 on Monday night.
Max Mollaun led the Ravens with 11 points and three rebounds, hitting 5 of 11 field goals in 30 minutes, including a 3-pointer.
Steven McCann had eight points, three rebounds and five assists, and Scott Schwieterman added seven points, three rebounds and three assists.
Cody Jackson added six points and three rebounds off the bench, and Brett Anderson chipped in with five points, three rebounds and two assists.
AU shot just 37 percent from the field, including 3-of-10 from 3-point range while Trine was at 50 percent shooting, including 10-of-22 from behind the arc.
The Ravens had a 33-30 advantage on the boards, including 14-9 on the offensive glass. The Thunder had the edge in points in the paint (26-22), turnovers (8-13), points off turnovers (22-9) and steals (8-2).
AU (0-6) hosts defending conference champion Rose-Hulman on Wednesday in the HCAC opener at 7:30 p.m.
