Rain washes away county tournaments schedules

— Overnight rains on Wednesday and nearly day-long rain on Thursday caused a complete washout of the day’s county tournament slate.

The Nick Muller Memorial Tournament had semifinals scheduled as well as some consolation bracket games. One of the consolation games is being moved to another site so the Thursday scheduled could be kept intact and moved to today.

The Madison County Softball Tournament is in a similar position except that one consolation game will be completed at Pendleton Heights today before resuming the regular Thursday schedule.

The Madison County Tennis Tournament will now have its first round today and will play second round and final round matches on Saturday.
