The Herald Bulletin recently hired a new employee and promoted an employee to lead the newsroom design and copyediting team.

Allison Vondrell, who has worked at The Herald Bulletin since 2004, was promoted from assistant design editor to design editor. Vondrell is a graduate of Ohio University.

Heather Bremer has joined the newsroom staff as features design editor. Bremer worked at The Herald Bulletin as a sports reporter in 2001 and 2002 and most recently worked as assistant news editor of Florida Today. She is a graduate of Anderson University.

“We’re thrilled to have the leadership that Allison provides and Heather’s versatile set of skills as a journalist,” said Scott Underwood, managing editor of The Herald Bulletin.
