A fire broke out shortly before noon at a house at 305 W. 13th St., near the corner of 13th and Chase streets, near downtown Anderson. Firefighters responded and appeared to keep the fire contained to the third-floor attic where it began. An opening was cut on the roof of the house and a house fed inside.

Anderson firefighters responded to the blaze and were able to contain it to the third-floor attic where the fire appears to have begun. An opening was cut in the roof of the house and fire hoses fed inside.
