---- — RUSHVILLE — Donna Marie Murphy, 87, of Anderson went to be with the Lord on Feb. 14, 2014, at Millers Merry Manor in Rushville. She was born on Jan. 25, 1927, in Alexandria to the late Earl and Lena Wilson.
She worked at Aladdin Lamp in Alexandria and Eavys Market in Anderson. She was then employed by Delco Remy, formerly of Anderson, for 33 years.
She was a member of Anderson Baptist Church and was baptized at Grace Baptist Church.
Donna enjoyed traveling, taking care of her yard and decorating her home. She loved visiting with her family and sharing “remember when stories.” Her greatest joy came from being with her grandson and great-grandsons.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Karen (Tim) Cade; grandson, Joshua (Meg) Cade, and great-grandsons Evan and Eli Cade, all of New Palestine; sister, Martha Haston of Anderson; brothers, Ralph (Barbara) Wilson of Alexandria and Paul (Peggy) Wilson of Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Donna’s neighbors,Tim and Ann Swinford, whose help was invaluable, and also to Rodney and Sherry Ritchie. The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff at Fall Creek Retirement Village in Pendleton and also the staff at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rushville. A special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, whose support was greatly appreciated.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ferman Wilson; sisters, Lucille Warner of Alexandria, Virginia Thomas of Muncie, Alberta Hinton of Columbus and Wilma Wilson of Alexandria.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Young officiating.
Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park.
