Victor D. Seright, Jr.

Aug. 27, 1929 - March 26, 2013

FISHERS, Ind. — Victor D. Seright, Jr., 83, of Fishers and formerly of Elwood, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Hamilton Trace Health Campus in Fishers.

He was born Aug. 27, 1929 in Elwood, the son of Victor D. and Lois (Leachman) Seright. Victor worked as a design engineer, designing machinery for the corrugated packaging industry.  He retired from his own company, the Serenco Company.

He also formerly worked at Delco Remy in Anderson.  He was a 1947 graduate of Elwood High School and a 1951 graduate of Ball State Teacher’s College in Muncie.

Vic enjoyed playing music on the clarinet all of his life, and also enjoyed sketching, painting, playing bridge, playing golf, and sailing.  He was a former member of the Punta Gorda Elks Lodge in Florida and the Quincy Masonic Lodge in Elwood.

His family includes four children, John (Charmian) Seright of Greensburg, Kay Mueller of Indianapolis, Laura (Kevin) Fewell of Mason, Ohio, and Amy (Tom) Updike of Carmel; sister, Jane Ann Leman of Indianapolis; stepson, Scott Easley of Granger; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marilyn (Fettig) Seright; and his former wife, JoAnn (Cotton) Seright.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Copher-Fesler May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Chris Dare officiating. Entombment will be in the Elwood City Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
