---- — ANDERSON — Tamera (Tami) Y. (Heisey) Upton, 46, a resident of Markleville, passed away Dec. 13, 2013, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
She was born Jan. 9, 1967, in Troy, Ohio, the daughter of Duane and Dixie Heisey.
She graduated from Pendleton Heights High School, Class of 1986. She attended International Business College. She worked at IPT in Greenfield. She was employed at Tractor Supply Warehouse in Pendleton until 2007.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Alice Heisey, and Jacob and Mary Gibbel, and aunt Freda Heisey.
Survivors include her parents, Duane and Dixie Heisey of Pendleton; two sons, Joel (Ashley) Sanders of Ingalls and Mason Upton of Markleville; two grandchildren, Emy Grace Athena, 10, and Joel Michael, 8 months; god-daughter, Shelby Fulp, 11; sister, Tonya (Roger) Weaver of Noblesville; niece, Ashley Weaver, 8; special friends, Zella Fulp, Christy Mercer, Kaye Koomler and Sammy, the cat she loved. She is also survived by seven uncles, six aunts and 19 cousins.
Tami loved her family and loved the outdoors, gardening, flowers and camping and always had a contagious smile.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service and Crematory, officiated by Pastor Doug Walker of Pendleton First United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
