CHESTERFIELD — Rodney Alan Drenth, 68, of Pawpaw, Mich., died at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield after a short battle with cancer.
He was born in Kalamazoo, Mich., July 24, 1945, to John and Henrietta (Weessies) Drenth.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He worked construction all of his adult life before retiring in 2011.
He attended Christian Reformed Church. He enjoyed biking, bird watching, airplane modeling, sailing and railroading.
Survivors include his sister, Theresa Cunningham of Anderson; niece, Lori (Sam) Hanna; nephew, Jasen (Stacy) Drenth; great-nieces and nephews, Ryleigh Drenth, Matthew (Ashley) Hanna and Andrew Hanna.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Henrietta (Weessies) Drenth; brother, Norman Drenth, and great-nephew, Kristopher Hanna.
Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to Kalamazoo Christian High School or Christian Reform Ministries.
