ANDERSON, Ind. —

Henrine Whigham, 79, Anderson, departed this life Aug. 10, 2013, after an extended illness at Manor Care Health Services, Anderson.

She was born Aug. 28, 1933, to Henry Broadnax and Merian Manuel in Russellville, Ky. She moved to Anderson at a young age. She attended Anderson High School. Henrine was employed at St. John’s Health System for seven years and Delco Remy for 25 years. She was a member of United Auto Workers Local 662. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, walking and crafting. 

She was a faithful member of Aletheia Fellowship and Ministry for many years.   

Henrine leaves to cherish her loving memory children, Gregory L. (Jessica) Manuel of Salt Lake City, Utah, Kerry B. Whigham of Anderson, Alan D. (Caroline) Whigham II of Spiceland, and daughter, Anita L. Whigham of Anderson; sisters, Merian Jackson, special Veronica Fuller, Loraine (Ray) Hayes, all of Anderson, Josephine (Merle) Stewart of Mansfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Deveta Whigham, Kara (Earl) Boyd, Keri Lee Whigham, Morgan Whigham, Djuana (Mondell) Carter, April Whigham, Alan D. Whigham, Eric Davidson, Ashley Whigham, Micheal L. Whigham Jr.; special grandson, Corey Whigham; great-grandchildren, Monique Whigham, Antwane’ Whigham, A’Niyah Birdsong, Shaun Birdsong, Dayjour Carter, Colleen Davidson and Aubriegh Davidson; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Bill Gray, Lena Bostic, Mariann Harris, David and Janet Granger, Betty Richardson and Pastor Gary McCaslin, Aletheia Fellowship and Ministry. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred (Fred) Whigham; son, Michael L. Whigham; father, Henry (Irene) Broadnax; mother, Merian (Milton) Manuel; brothers, George Broadnax and Harold Manuel; a host of brother and sister-in-laws; two nieces and one nephew.

Special thank you to Dr. John Woodall, Manorcare Health Services, and St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.

Services will be held at noon Friday at Aletheia Fellowship and Ministry, 2505 Faith Drive, Anderson. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.
