---- — ANDERSON — Kendrick Ja’von “Dro” Brisker, 23, of Anderson, passed away Jan. 28, 2014, after a brief illness.
Kendrick was born July 18, 1990, to Mary Joell Williams and Okemo Brisker in Anderson.
Kendrick enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and watching movies. His dream was to write a book and help his grandmother with her fashion design business.
Survivors include his father, Okemo Brisker; stepfather, Marvin McCloud of Anderson; maternal grandmother, Veronica (James) Davis Hawkes of Jefferson Hill, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Betty Brisker of Gary, Ind.; special friend, Chris Compton, Indianapolis; special aunt, Nia Williams; cousins, Darqwez Dowdell, Danyel House, Dontrell, Joell and Dada Dowell of New Orleans, La.; five sisters, Brittany, Krijia, Kccira, Kycign and Brionna Brisker, all of Anderson; nine aunts, Barbie Hawkes of Georgia, Felicia Turner, Rodricka Williams, LaRita Williams, Meka Moore, Andrea Sharp, Angie Brisker, Francis Steele and Evon Brisker; seven uncles, Earnest Turner, Idowa Hood, Joe Moore III, Shontez Manual, Shantez Gibson, Paul Brisker and Royce Brisker, all of Anderson; and a host of great-aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at noon Monday at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon with the Revs. Floyd Edwards Sr. and Marcus Cooley officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park.
