---- — MIDDLETOWN — LaDonna Rose (Mason) Chambless, 78, resident of Middletown, passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 31, 2013, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
She was born in Anderson, July 31, 1935, the daughter of Albert and Florine Mason.
She was a graduate of Daleville High School and worked in the cafeteria at Shenandoah Schools for many years.
She was a member of the Middletown Church of the Nazarene and worked in Band Boosters and Football Boosters at Shenandoah. She had worked in Rainbow Girls and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. Her family and friends loved her and called her “Mamie.”
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett; brother, Richard Mason; sister, Evelyn Sefcik; and grandson Tyler.
Survivors are her children, Jeff Chambless (Kristi) of Middletown and Robyn Pierce (Donald) of Englewood, Ohio; five grandchildren, Katlynn, Jonathan, Brady, Jakob and Kamille; brother, Don Pine; and several nieces and nephews.
Celebration services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene with Dr. Philip C. Rogers officiating. We ask that everyone wear “Colts blue” for the service.
Friends may call at the church on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
