Lynn E. Heinzman

ARCADIA, Ind. —  Lynn Eugene Heinzman, 65, of Arcadia, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at his home.

He was born Aug. 2, 1946, in Noblesville, to Max Eugene and Elizabeth (Hall) Heinzman.

He was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School Class of 1964 and attended Purdue University. He served his country in the National Guard and during his service was involved in keeping the peace during the riots in Gary. He was a millwright at Delco Remy at Anderson before his retirement.

Lynn was a member of the Prairie Baptist Church and of the Walnut Grove Alumni Association. He enjoyed boating, traveling and most of all spending time with his family. He was an Elvis impersonator and had entertained in various venues. Lynn was adventurous and was planning to ski with his family for the first time the day after his death. He had many friends and neighbors and enjoyed visiting and assisting them.  

He married Peggy Ann (Spannuth) Heinzman on June 2, 1966. Her death occurred June 12, 1996. His parents also preceded him in death.

Surviving him are a daughter, Cherilyn Ann Heinzman of Noblesville; two sons, Christopher E. Heinzman and wife Marianne of Noblesville, and Cory Andrew Heinzman of Arcadia; and grandchildren, Jacob and Allison Heinzman.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with the Rev. J.R. Moffatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcadia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
