PENDLETON, Ind. —
Maudie (Deason) Brown, 76, passed away April 1, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born Oct. 26, 1936, in Salem, and was a Pendleton resident since 1955.
Maudie retired from Lang’s Jewelry Store in Pendleton where she worked for more than 30 years.
She was a 1954 graduate of Campbellsburg High School and was a member of Pendleton AMVETS Auxiliary and Pendleton American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son, Gary (wife, Karla) Brown of Indianapolis; daughter, Sherry Reed of Pendleton; sister, Jane Morris of Edenton, N.C.; two grandsons, Justin N. Brown and Kyle W. Brown; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Barton and Jacob Reed; a niece; and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Russell Deason; mother, Mary (Green) Deason Chanley; husband, Harold Brown Jr.; and granddaughter, Patricia Nicole Sites.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lahm Chapel.
