ANDERSON, Ind. —
Dr. Jerome A. Follmar, 83, of Anderson, died at his residence, surrounded by his family, April 11, 2013, following an extended illness.
He was born Dec. 19, 1929, in South Bend, to Marie B. Follmar.
He was a doctor of Dentistry from 1956 until retiring June 30, 2001. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Anderson; ADA and IDA; a life member of IU Alumni Club; and St. John’s Children’s Clinic.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Follmar of Anderson, whom he married Dec. 11, 1971, in Speedway; 13 children, Fred (Celia) Follmar of Whitestown, Nancy (Dean) Nowling of Avon, Allison McKnight (fiancé, Brian Sullivan) of Anderson, Jerome (Julie) Follmar II of Corpus Christi, Texas, Amy (Peter) Kaminski of Danville, Jack (Kristen) Follmar of Anderson, Joe (Nikki) Follmar of Lebanon, Jim (Amanda) Follmar of Lapel, Jake (Cassie) Follmar of Anderson, Amanda Follmar (Jason Causbie) of Anderson, Jon (Kayleigh) Follmar of Anderson, Jeff Follmar of Anderson and Jordan Follmar of Anderson; 42 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and his brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Penny Follmar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Williams officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary’s School Scholarship fund.
