BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — Donald R. Russell, 81, of Brooksville, Fla., died March 17, 2014, at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Fla., after a sudden illness.
He was born June 10, 1932, in Linton, Ind., to Clyde and Delonor (Gabbert) Russell.
He was a train conductor for Conrail and a member of the Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Connie (Terry) Chambers and Cindy (Bruce) Beck; stepdaughter Janice Rogers-Harris and stepson Clinton Joel (Cyndy) Huffman; four grandchildren, Sarah Chambers, Jacob Beck, Jesse Beck and Jennifer Russell; and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Huffman) Russell, and his son, Donald Russell.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, with burial in East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
