ALEXANDRIA — Marcena E. Bryan, 74, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born May 7, 1939, in Marion to Miley and Dorothy (Hardacher) Wallen. Marcena had worked as a home health aide in Madison County for several years. She was a former member of the Alexandria American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors: two daughters, Tracy Carmine (Mark Fields) of Marion and Christina (Christopher) Levinson, Anderson; grandchildren Bethany (Travis) Bardonner, Lameck Gadd, Austin Melton, Collin Hoskins, Patrick Melton, Angelique Carmine and Jacob Levinson; greatgrandchildren Sophia Bardonner and Trinity Davis; brothers Larry Wallen of Michigan, Thomas Wallen of Muncie and David (Brenda) Wallen of Wabash; sister Judy Morgan of Wabash, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 26 years, Allen Bryan, in 1988, and a brother, Ronald Wallen.
Funeral services honoring Marcena’s life will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Noffze Funeral Home, 501 N. Harrison St., Alexandria, with Rev. Michael Robbins officiating.
Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria. Friends may call at the Noffze Funeral Home in Alexandria Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
