ANDERSON — Evelyn P. (Yingling) Boxell, 96, of Anderson died March 20, 2014, at Community Northview after an extended illness.
Evelyn was born Oct. 2, 1917, in Yorktown.
She was a homemaker and worked at J.C. Penney for several years.
She was a member of Bethany Christian Church. She loved her family, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Jimmie “Jim” Waymire of Anderson; five grandchildren, Sherry Langley of Kokomo, Mike Waymire of Anderson, Dewayne Boxell of Florida, Ross (Tina) Boxell of Decatur and Mark Boxell of Florida; four great-grandchildren, Jenna Langley, Brooke Langley, Adam Waymire and Abby Waymire; and several other great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other special family, including Craig Langley of Walton, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin B. Boxell; her daughter, Barbara Waymire; her son, Daniel Boxell; two brothers and three sisters.
Service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Bob Bell and Kent Stookey officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
