ANDERSON — Barbara M. (Latimer) Norrick, 73, of Anderson, died Oct. 31, 2013, at Reid Hospital in Richmond after an extended illness.
She was born April 15, 1940, in Erie, Pa., to Julian Bentley and Rose Marie (Trick) Latimer, and graduated from Marion High School in 1958.
She was a homemaker/domestic engineer who was very passionate, kind, brave, courageous and a very loving woman.
She was a member of Faith Assembly of God where she was very active prior to her illness. She loved her ladies card club. She was a Girl Scout leader in the 1960s and 1970s. She loved spending time with her family, friends and enjoyed scrap booking.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Norrick, whom she married Feb. 6, 1960, in Chesterfield; two children, Scott (Jodi) Norrick and Michele Bailey, all of Anderson; two brothers, Julian (Janet) Latimer of Atlanta, Ga., David (Jan) Latimer of Indianapolis; two sisters, Connie Everhart of Wabash, and Julia (Richard) Abraham of Columbus, Ind.; half sister, Joan Gift of Utah; half brother, Richard Latimer of Ohio; seven grandchildren, Brandon (Erin) Bailey, Zachary Bailey, Vincent Scott Norrick, Preston Norrick, Devin Norrick, Alyssa Norrick and Quentin Norrick; two great-grandchildren, Gavin Bailey and Ryder Bailey, all of Anderson; special cousin, Joanie; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vincent Latimer; and brother-in-law, Howard Everhart.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Assembly of God with Senior Pastor Walt Weaver and Pastor Carl Lamb officiating. Burial will follow at Estates of Serenity Cemetery in Marion.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
