---- — MUNCIE — Marrlynn Oreta Ambler, 88, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, in Webster, Texas.
She was born on May 28, 1925 in Boston, Ind., the daughter of Cecil and Glenda (Davis) Hutton, and graduated from Boston High School in 1943. She lived most of her life in Muncie until moving to Dayton, Texas in 2006.
She worked for LifeStream Services at Forest Park Senior Center from 2001 through 2005 as a site nutrition manager.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Lady Lions Club in Muncie. Marrlynn was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.
Surviving are seven children, Michael Kabel (wife, Jerrilynn), Elizabethtown, Ky., Carolyn Thomas (husband, Bob), Richmond, Karen Craib (husband, Larry), Summitville, Sharon Allen (partner, Robert Becher), Altoona, Pa., James Kabel, Dayton, Texas, Patricia Kabel, Deer Park, Texas, and Robert Ambler, Dayton, Texas; a stepson, William Ambler Jr. (wife, Barbara), Muncie; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William W. Ambler Sr.; and her aunt, Daisy Ridenour.
Services will be held at noon Saturday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary and one hour before services on Saturday.
