---- — KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Paul E. Duffey, 70, of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Anderson, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 15, 2013. He was born Dec. 12, 1942, in Elwood to Paul and Katherine (Copeland) Duffey.

He served in the United States Army and was a graduate of Ball State University. He retired in 1995 from Delco Remy, a division of General Motors, after 33 years. Moving to Florida, he owned and operated Bright Side Electric Co. in Port Charlotte and Qualifying Johnson’s Electric Co in Sarasota.

He loved gospel music. He was the bass singer with the Gospel Messengers Quartet and The Brothers Quartet. He moved to Tennessee in 2005 where he lived the last eight years. He lived a very full life accomplishing a lot. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Robbie K. (Pope) Duffey, and two daughters, Paula (David) Walford, Anderson, and Tracey (Roger) Herbert, Bradenton, Fla.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Randall Duffey, in 2010.

A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Monday at East Side Church of God with Pastor Mary Ann Randolph officiating.
