PENDLETON, Ind. —
Sherry L. Shaw, 57, of Pendleton, passed away on May 23, 2013, at St. Vincent’s Hospice in Indianapolis after a sudden illness.
She was born Aug. 26, 1955, in Anderson, where she resided until moving to Pendleton in 1963.
Sherry had worked for South Madison School Corporation since 1997. Before that, she spent her time caring for kids in the community.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and was a volunteer for the Pendleton Boy Scout troop. Sherry had a passion for kids, and her life exemplified that. She cared deeply about family and friends and was immensely proud of her two sons and her granddaughter. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Shaw; sons, Scott Shaw and his wife, Rachelle, and Todd Shaw; granddaughter, Alexa N. Shaw; parents, Judy and David Baker; sister, Terri Miller; brother, David Baker Jr.; uncle, Larry Gibson and his wife, Dixie; a niece; and several nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson. The Pendleton Boy Scout troop will be contributing. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Maynard Powell. Graveside services will follow at Pleasant Walk Cemetery in Anderson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pendleton Boy Scout Troop or Boy Scouts of America.
