Clester C. 'Andy' Anderson

Nov. 25, 1935 - Oct. 8, 2013

ANDERSON — Clester C. “Andy” Anderson, 77, of Anderson, passed away on Oct. 8, 2013, at his residence. He was born on Nov. 25, 1935, in Morehead , Ky., and resided most of his life in Anderson.

He served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Delco Remy.

He was a member of Southern Heights Christian Church, United Auto Workers Local 662, and was a Cub Master for the Boy Scouts.

Andy is survived by his loving spouse whom he married May 16, 1959, Ruth Ann (McBrayer) Anderson; children, Lisa (Dennis) Jaynes of Wabash, Clark (Vonda) Anderson of Anderson, Samuel (Dawn) Anderson of New Albany, David (Emily) Anderson of Pendleton; siblings, Nina Bowman of Morehead, Ky., Tina (J.R.) Ward of Delaware, Earl (Julie) Anderson of Morehead, Ky., Willie (Faye) Anderson of Morehead, Ky., Lloyd (Donna) Anderson of Morehead, Ky., Claude Anderson of Morehead, Ky.; grandchildren, Brad Anderson of Anderson, Greg (Kristina) Anderson of Anderson, Tyler (Malia) Jaynes of Mishawaka, Travis Jaynes of Gulfport, Miss., Taylor Jaynes of Wabash, Jacob Anderson of Pendleton, and Matthew Anderson of Pendleton; and great-granddaughter, Karly Anderson of Anderson.

The family would like to thank the staff of Rawlins House and St. Vincent Hospice for their loving care.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Delmer, Dallas, Jessie and Roy Anderson; mother, Carrie (Caudill) Anderson; and father, Willie T. Anderson.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Lane officiating. Burial will take place in the Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
