ANDERSON, Ind. —
Katie (Young) Wilhoit, 65, of Anderson, passed away Dec. 1, 2012, at her home, after a brief illness.
She was born June 30, 1947, in Anderson.
Katie graduated from Anderson High School in 1965, and attended Ball State University.
She retired from the Independent Federal Credit Union in 2009; prior to that she worked for Anderson Banking Co.
She was a member of the Veterans of Madison County, and she very much enjoyed volunteering for the Madison County Humane Society.
Survivors include her daughter, Heather (Norris) (husband, Steve) Hudson; two sisters, Maggie (husband, Charlie) Blaylock and Tracy (husband, Barry) Wilson; her mother-in-law, Ann Wilhoit and family. Also surviving are her dearest friends, Kris Hoppes and Orena Foster.
Katie was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Young; mother, Frances Young; and loving husband, Brian Wilhoit.
The family wishes to thank the special people of Saint John’s Hospice.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Humane Society, 2219 Crystal St., Anderson, IN 46012, in Memory of Katie Wilhoit.
