Hazel H. Price

Dec. 8, 1919 - April 20, 2013

SPRING CITY, Tenn. — Hazel H. Price, 93, Spring City, Tenn., formerly of Anderson, passed away at home April 20, 2013, after a several month illness.

She was born Dec. 8, 1919, in Ovid, Ind., the daughter of the late Ithamer and Mable Hoel. She graduated from Markleville High School and was part of the Markleville Alumni Association. She retired in 1977 from Guide Lamp after 31 years. After retirement, Hazel and Carl split their time between Anderson and Tennessee. In 1999 she made her home with her two daughters until they passed away in 2002 then moving to Tennessee permanently in 2003.

Hazel was a former member of Arrow Avenue Wesleyan Church, Lone Oak Wesleyan Churches and UAW-CIO Local 663.

She is survived by her son, Paul E. (wife, Vicki) Price of Spring City, Tenn.; son-in-law, Don Bradfield of Wellington, Ala.; grandchildren, Delise Rae Price Memler, Paul Timothy Bradfield, Joel Alan McBroom, Sonja Jean Price Frost, Brian Anthony Bradfield, Damon Trent Price and Joshua Aaron McBroom; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Price; children, infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth Price, Linda Bradfield and Rebecca McBroom; sisters, Lucy Ellen Hoel, Ruth Moore and Mary Lindzy; one brother, Roland Clifford Hoel.

Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lone Oak Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Bill Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lone Oak Wesleyan Church missions fund or Gideons International.
