ANDERSON, Ind. —
Shirley Ruth Kershner, 74, Anderson, passed away on April 21, 2013, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
Born on May 23, 1938, in Osgood, she resided most of her life in Anderson.
Shirley graduated from Anderson High School in 1956.
She retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors after 32 years of service.
She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and Red Hats Society. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, dancing, playing Scrabble, the holidays, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her loving husband, David Kershner, whom she married Sept. 29, 1982; daughter, Penny (Paul) Johnson of Pendleton; daughter, Janet (Jim) Triplett of Anderson; daughter, Delia (Tommy) Wallace of North Carolina; son, David E. (Renee) Kershner of Nebraska, son, Danny (Pam) Kershner of Columbus, Ind.; sister, Kathy (Robert) McCorkle of Middletown; mother, Virginia Fox of Middletown; brother, David (Margie) Fox of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Joey and Brian Triplett and Cheyenne Johnson; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Shirley Fox; and granddaughter, Magan Lewis.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 7 p.m.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Jared Fields officiating. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park.
