ANDERSON -- Luz Esther Sanchez, 79, of Anderson, passed away June 24, 2014, at Community Hospital Anderson.
She was born July 17, 1934, in Puerto Rico and resided most of her life in Anderson.
Luz graduated from Yorkville High School, Manhattan. She was a retired homemaker.
She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ovid Community Church and was an Anderson High School booster.
Luz is survived by her sons, Raul (Deborah) Sanchez, Kenneth (Valerie) Sanchez and John F. (Charla) Sanchez; brother Raul Jimenez; grandchildren Kendra Michelle, Kenneth Michael, Nichole Elizabeth and Johnna Marie; great-grandson Garen, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Luz M (Nieves) Jimenez; father, Jose Jimenez; husband, Felix N. Sanchez and brothers, Samuel David Jimenez and Joseph Jimenez.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
All are welcome to the burial at Anderson Memorial Park Monday at 10 a.m.
