ANDERSON -- Penelope “Penny” Sue Warner, 71, died June 22, 2014, at Community Hospital in Anderson.
She was born March 24, 1943, in Anderson and married Eddie Allen Warner on Nov. 9, 1963.
She was a homemaker and an immensely talented seamstress. She often created exquisite needlework for family and friends and shared her time unselfishly. She loved to read and enjoyed her pets.
She graduated from Anderson High School in 1961.
She is survived by her devoted husband; her sister, Dr. Virginia Chapman; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sonja and Larry Abbott; one nephew, Dr. Troy Abbott; two nieces, Laura Abbott Green and Gina (Chapman) Veazey, and several great-nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Her parents, Disco and Delorose (Stanley) Vermillion, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ovid Community Church at 793 E. 600 South, Anderson, with Pastor Keith Wooden officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or American Kidney Association.
