OKEECHOBEE, Fla. — Wilma (Plummer) Stanley Emerson Knopp went to meet her Savior Sunday, July 14, 2014. She was 94 years young.
She was born Dec. 5, 1919, in Chesterfield, Ind., to Clifford and Mary Plummer. She lived most of her life in Anderson, Ind. She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1978.
She and her husband, Donald Knopp, moved to Okeechobee, Fla., in 1988. She was a member of the Gospel Light Chapel in Anderson, Ind., and attended First United Methodist Church of Okeechobee, Fla. She will be so missed.
She loved attending church and Sunday school and being with her Sunday school class. She liked to fish, camp, crochet, read, work crossword puzzles and play with her great-grandchildren. She loved all children, especially babies, no matter who they belonged to. She always had a ready smile and a great sense of humor.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Mary Plummer; two husbands, Willie Emerson and Donald Knopp; three children, Jack Stanley (Dixie), Judy Miller (Jim) and Carolyn Gustin (Joe); three sisters, Freida Bennett, Madonna Walker and Betty Jarrett; two grandsons, Kevin Stanley and Jared Woolard.
She is survived by two daughters, Charlene Keefer (Bud) of Okeechobee, Fla., and Nichole Dorsey (Ted) of Middletown, Ind.; two brothers, Paul Plummer and Phillip Plummer (Bette), all of Anderson, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 52 great-great-grandchildren; six great-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews in Anderson, Ind.
There will be a memorial service at a later time in Anderson, Ind.
