ANDERSON, Ind. —
Cynthia A. Cleaver, 60, of Anderson, passed away April 27, 2013, at her residence, after an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 16, 1952, in Anderson, the daughter of Robert and Jean (Ritter) Cleaver, and was a lifelong Anderson resident.
She graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1971, and attended Ball State University.
Cynthia worked for Manpower for many years, for the Center for Mental Health in Anderson and, most recently, Aspire Indiana in Noblesville.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
She is survived by two brothers, Dave M. Cleaver (companion, Carole Rogers) of Indianapolis and Bruce P. Cleaver of Muncie; her sister, Karen (husband, Dan) Dykes of Anderson; two nieces, Christy Cleaver (companion, John Miller) of Colorado and Kimberly (husband, Eric) Canada and their son, Ryan, of Indianapolis; two nephews, Craig Dykes of Chicago, Ill., and Patrick Dykes of Boston, Mass.; stepmother, Doris Cleaver of Anderson; stepsister, Kyle (husband, John) Smith of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; aunts and uncles, Richard and Marqueena Cleaver of Colorado and Jim and Nora Cleaver of Alexandria; several cousins; and special friend, Gar Hoover.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jean Cleaver; and stepsister, Regina Wood.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. 2801 Lincoln St., Anderson, with Father Robert Williams officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospice.
