Donald L. Fields

March 8, 1931 - May 16, 2013

ANDERSON, Ind. — Donald L. Fields, 82, of Anderson, passed away May 16, 2013, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born March 8, 1931, in Westfield, the son of the late Fred and Hilda (Powell) Fields. He resided in Madison County most of his life and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He retired from Owens Brockway Glass after 23 years of employment.

Donald is survived by his wife of 37 years, Thelma Riddle Fields of Anderson; daughters, Diana (husband, Paul) Haskins of Knox, Ind., and Donna Fields Patterson and Debbie Fields Shuck, both of Anderson; stepsons, Roger (wife, Monett) Riddle and Mike (wife, Carol) Riddle, all of Anderson; stepdaughter, Reberta (husband, Tony) Charriez of Anderson; six grandsons; three granddaughters; five stepgrandsons; two stepgranddaughters; nine great-grandsons; eight great-granddaughters; three stepgreat-grandsons; six stepgreat-granddaughters; one stepgreat-great-granddaughter; special stepgreat-great-grandson, Peyton; brother, Robert (wife, Pat) Fields of Lapel; special nephews, Billy, Denny and Timmy Fields and Bobby and Brooke Fields; and special nieces, Esther Drennon, Marty Clark and Rhonda Riggs.

He was preceded in death by his stepgreat-granddaughter, Tory; brothers, Charles and Bill Fields; and sister, Martha Creason.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with the Rev. Pete White officiating. Burial will be in Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
