MARION, Ind. —
Frederick T. Gustin, 56, Marion, died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born March 7, 1957, in Anderson, to the late Joseph Gustin and Marjorie (Davis) Smith.
Frederick lived in Marion most of his life and was a graduate of Marion High School. He was a United States Navy veteran who enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys and was a NASCAR fan.
Survivors include his mother, Marjorie “Dianne” (Roland) Smith of Dallas, Texas; sons, James Gustin of Lafayette and Brandon (Charity) Gustin of Lafayette; stepdaughter, Rebecca (Joe) Butler of Anderson; grandchildren, HaiLeigh, Landon, Ava, Billy, Mercedes and Lexus; sister, Sherry Zion of Gas City; stepsisters, Dawn, Beverly and Janet; brothers, Joe (Donna) Gustin of Dallas, Texas, and Jason Smith of Dallas, Texas; brother-in-law, Greg Scott of Gas City; nephews, Adam Zion and Brandon Peterson; nieces, Letisha Gustin and Katelyn Scott; aunts, Linda Gustin, Edith Neff and Kathy Sessoms; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and best friend, Jimmy Wogerman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Gustin; sister, Diana “DeeDee” Scott; paternal grandmother, Pearl Gustin; maternal grandmother, Mary Stamm; grandfather, Ted Gustin; and grandfather, Joseph Daus.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, with the Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will be in Richland Township Cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
