ANDERSON, Ind. —
Robert E. Johnson, 83, lifelong Madison County resident, died April 3, 2013, at Community Hospital in Anderson.
He was born July 6, 1929, in Anderson, the son of Harold R. and Mable (Wilson) Johnson. He was an electrician with Delco Remy for 35 years. He was a graduate of Anderson High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed reading.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Paula Johnson, whom he married on April 8, 1972; eight children, Jeffrey Johnson of Florida, Jerry (Tammy) Johnson of Mentone, Jane (John Dohmer) Johnson of Folsom, Calif., Kevin Hart of Franklin, Lexie Weedman of Franklin, Lora Mullins of Anderson, David (Patricia) Hart of Florida and Thomas (Allison) Laws of Noblesville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack L. (Mary) Lavinnia of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Hastings.
Private graveside services will be held at K of P/IOOF Cemetery in Frankton with Pastor Andrew Marshall of Victory Chapel Church in Noblesville officiating.
