ANDERSON, Ind. —
Vera Olive (Moore) Highmiller Humphrey, 95, passed away at the Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on April 3, 2013, following an extended illness.
She was born on Oct. 23, 1917, in Middletown, the daughter of Leo David and Montrew (Good) Moore.
She was a graduate of Daleville High School and was employed at Anaconda Wire and Cable in Anderson for 30 years before retiring 1n 1976.
Survivors include three nieces, Darlene (Ken) King of Middletown, Christina (Bob) Provost of Middletown, and Kathy (Jerry) Gossage of New Castle; several cousins; and special friends, Peggy Irvine, Natasha Taylor of Tennessee, Gerry McClintock, Judy Vardaman of Anderson and Carolyn Triplett of Dunkirk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; two brothers, Ernest Moore and Byron Eugene Moore; one sister, Virginia Moore; and one son, Curtis Wayne Highmiller.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Miller Cemetery, Middletown, with the Revs. Tim Glidden and Marty Ballard officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Vincent Hospice through the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home.
