Edward N. Davidson


GLASGOW, Ky. — Edward N. “Sonny Fisherman” Davidson, 67, of Glasgow, Ky., passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 in Park City, Ky., as a result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

The Cook County native grew up in Anderson, where he attended Hazelwood School. Ed finished his years of education in Glasgow, Ky., where he attended Park City School and graduated from Ralph Bunch High School. Ed was a member of Ole Rocky Hill Baptist Church and Flying Dragons Motorcycle Club.

He was a former employee of Nabisco, Martin Automotive and Harley-Davidson Bowling Green. “Fisherman,” as he was affectionately known, served as past president of Flying Dragons, loved farming, fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, jazz and socializing with his friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar B. and Pearline Lewis-Davidson; paternal grandparents, Roger and Addie Davidson; and maternal grandparents, Daniel and Annie Lewis.

He leaves to cherish his memories, children, Marchelle Davidson of Rochester, N.Y. and Edward LeShon Davidson and Azirelle Scherie Davidson, both of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Joyce Davidson of Anderson; brothers, Lenaurd Davidson of Indianapolis and Melvin Davidson of El Paso, Texas; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and his companion, Jamie Watson of Glasgow, Ky.

The family will receive friends and guests for “Sonny’s” special gathering from 1 to 3 p.m. today  at Burnam & Son Mortuary in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Sonny’s request for cremation will be honored following his gathering.
