ALEXANDRIA — Tara L. (Tulowitzky) Adams, 48, Alexandria, died unexpectedly July 14, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 27, 1964, in Anderson, the daughter of Max Tulowitzky and Imogene (Gaither) Tulowitzky, and resided in Alexandria most of her lifetime.
Tara was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School, Class of 1983. She also received an associate degree from Indiana Business College. She had worked for the State of Indiana, Indiana Commission for Higher Education for 28 years. She attended the Madison Park Church of God. Tara enjoyed movies, time spent in her home and being with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Adams, whom she married Nov. 11, 1997; parents, Max and Imogene Tulowitzky of Peoria, Ariz.; brother, Ty Tulowitzky (Becky Allen) of Alexandria; special nieces and nephews, Derek Tulowitzky, Jordan Allen, Reagan Allen, McKenzie Adams, Isabella Batdorf and Sophia Batdorf; father-in-law, Richard (Pam) Adams of Alexandria; mother-in-law, Teana (Dan) Gray of Columbia, Tenn.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Alexandria Church of the Nazarene, 1401 S. Harrison St., Alexandria, with the Rev. Jerry Young and Pastor Mark Diemer officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St., Alexandria. The family will receive friends after 10 a.m. on Friday at the church prior to services. Casual dress is suggested.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation through the funeral home.
