YUKON, Okla. — Our beloved Derrick Ian Auler, 28, died unexpectedly on July 12, 2013.
He was born Nov. 5, 1984, the son of Leonard (Mary) Auler and Celeste Layne Auler. He was born in Anderson, Ind., but currently resided in Yukon, Oklahoma.
Derrick enjoyed spending time with family and friends and his dogs (Ace, McLovin, Zada). He was an avid lover of sports and music.
Surviving along with his parents and stepmother are his loving girlfriend, Heather Pack; two sisters, Sarah (Jeremy) Allen and Ashley (Russell) Wimberley; half brother, Cameron Auler; stepbrother, Paul Gammon; grandmother, Ruth A. Bolton; three nieces, Sommer, Sierrah and Shayleigh Allen; three nephews, Gavyn, Ashton and Weston Wimberley; best friend, Robert Tyler; aunts, Violet Tyler, Anita Tyler, Rebecca McDaniel, Cheri Douglass-Warren and Christian Casey-McDonald; uncles, Bryan Bolton (Dana Kyle), Chris Bolton and Tony Stegall; and special cousin, Justin Bolton, along with many others.
He was preceded in death by great-grandmothers, Emma Tyler and Mona Glass; grandfathers, Chuck Stegall and Lester Auler; grandmother, Sarah Auler; and many aunts and uncles, including Eric Stegall.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Anderson with the Rev. Mark Helm officiating.
