---- — ANDERSON — Carl Douglas Fletcher, 68, passed away July 15, 2013, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis after a brief illness.
He was born in Anderson on May 9, 1945, and lived in Anderson his whole life.
Carl was a graduate of Anderson High School Class of 1963 and General Motors Institute, Class of 1968. Carl obtained his MBA from Ball State University.
He retired from General Motors/Delphi after 40+ years and was currently employed by Rolls Royce of Indianapolis.
He was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Anderson.
Carl enjoyed traveling, golfing, following the stock market, watching the Indianapolis Colts, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband and father, a master storyteller, and enthusiastic believer in the power of positive thinking.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jaci (Flore) Fletcher; children, Jill (Dean) Remington of Owensville, Laura Fletcher of Noblesville, and Tyler Fletcher of Indianapolis; his mother, Dorothy (Huffman) Fletcher of Cicero; his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Norma Flore of Grand Blanc, Mich.; brother-in-law, Mike (Jillian) Flore; and nephew, Rob(Danielle) Flore.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Fletcher; and his brother, Larry Fletcher.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
