---- — ELWOOD — Robert Lee “Bob” Doan, 70, of Elwood, passed away on July 22, 2013, at Community Hospital in Anderson, following an extended illness.
Robert was born on Nov. 7, 1942, to Wayne and Thelma (Hughes) Doan in Elwood. Robert retired form Continental Can and Guide Lamp. On Dec. 7, 1963, he married the love of his life, Marsha (Jarvis), and she survives. Robert and Marsha lived in Elwood.
He enjoyed playing his guitar and fishing.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Marsha; three sons, Doug (Pat) Doan of Lapel, Brian (Amy) Doan of Frankton, and Thomas (Ariane) Doan of Elwood; three grandsons, Cody Doan, Tyler Doan and Robert Doan; granddaughter, Madisyn Doan; brother, Terry (Yvonne) Doan of Elwood; and a sister, Lori Kay Doan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Thelma (Hughes) Doan.
Visitation will be held Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dunnichay Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Elwood City Cemetery.
