ANDERSON, Ind. —
Pamela Sue Heagy, 59, of Anderson, passed away April 11, 2013, at Community Hospital.
She was born April 12, 1953, in Anderson, and was a 1971 graduate of Madison Heights High School.
Pamela was an instructional assistant in Anderson Community Schools for many years and was most recently the employee training coordinator at Cracker Barrel.
Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was an avid reader and beach goer. She had a gift for working with children, especially in the area of literacy.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Chad Stanley of Markleville; son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Liz (Havey) Heagy of Milledgeville, Ga.; grandchildren, Andrew Ryan and Addison Leigh Stanley, both of Markleville; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Jim Bracher of Tallahassee, Fla.; niece, Lisa Herod and her children, Lauren and Cody Herod, all of Treasure Island, Fla.; nephew, Rob (Kristie) Morgan and their children, Dustin, Zach, KT and Makenzie Morgan and Taylor Fitzgerald; several cousins; and her furry faithful companion, Gracie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Heagy, in 2007; mother, Betty (Helbert) White in 1996; father, Robert White in 1998; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leon and Mildred Heagy.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, with Gary and Lorraine Keith officiating. Cremation will follow.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
